Recently, One Plus company just unveiled its so called "Flagship Killer" on June 2016 and there are a lot who responded positively to their launch, One Plus 3 (A3000) is the name of their flagship and it is out to compete with the likes of Samsung Galaxy S7, Iphone 6s. Now, Mi5 was also dubbed as a Flagship Killer back February 2016. So lets take a look at both "Flagship Killer" and see who killed who in this round.

Whats in the Box of One Plus 3:
Design:
One Plus 3 we can say is elegantly designed, somewhat a little of s7 and iphone 6 in the mixture, the home button is not pressable its just a touch sensor unlike the Mi5 which we can light touch or hard press to go back to home screen.
Display:
The One Plus 3 came with Optic Amoled display, we ran a video comparing it side by side with Mi5 Pro, its almost the same graphics its just that the screen of the One Plus 3 is a bit bigger compared to Mi5 Pro. Sounds is also crisp, we expect nothing less from a flagship unit.
Snapdragon 820
One Plus 3 sported the same processor as the Mi5 and S7, but the AnTuTu Benchmark Results tells a different story, most probably due to the additional 2 GB of RAM from the One Plus.

Connectivity:
Both phone supports NFC, WiFi and Bluetooth, we tried downloading some files and they finishied almost with the same amount of time (server dependent).
Camera:
Now here is the tricky part, both unit sport 16 mega-pixel camera, with One Plus having 1 LED Flash, and Mi5 have Dual LED Flash. lets view some shots taken by both phone at the same angle.

Based on AnTuTu chart, One Plus 3 sits on top of the chart, while Mi5 Pro placed 3rd behind LeEco Max 2.

Verdict:
Now that we have pitted both phones together, we can say that One Plus 3 is a worthy phone to have, but Mi5 is not far behind. Now based on our camera comparison, Mi5 still have the edge in terms of fast focusing and better resolution. You can clearly see in the photos above that Mi5 takes a better color resolution (more natural) than that of the One Plus 3. Now in terms of AnTuTu Benchmark, needless to say that its One Plus 3 topping the chart in this category. Now form factor, we love the way Mi5 was build, its very ergonomic to the hands, but One Plus 3 is a bit bigger but it is pretty lightweight to hold for a 5.5" smartphone. Design wise we have to give it to Mi5 for the Ceramic back which is scratch resistant as we tried to rub the key against the back and it has no scratches, while One Plus 3 only has a brushed metal back case. Price point we can buy the One Plus 3 64GB for 2499 RMB while Mi5 Pro Ceramic is priced at 2699 RMB and Mi5 128GB Glass Backcase is priced at 2599 RMB.
