Alcatel has just announced that its entry-level PIXI 4 smartphone powered by Android will hit shelves in Canada sometime this month. The device will be available through some of the most important carriers in the country, including Bell, TELUS, Videotron, WIND Mobile, Virgin Mobile Canada and Koodo.

Even though the company did not reveal the price of the phone, we can safely assume the PIXI 4 will be offered for free on two-year contracts. It remains to be seen how much customers will have to pay if they want to get it outright.
