Mipad 2 Windows Edition Battery Empty Revival Tutorial
Ever wonder how on earth you are going to revive your Mi Pad 2 Intel Atom powered SoC Tablet as soon as it ran out of battery since you forgot to turn it off last night? Well, the Windows10 inside your precious Mipad 2 is not a tablet edition, its a FULL version, meaning your Mipad 2 is as good as a full sized desktop or laptop. Thats great news! Now, with great powers comes great responsibility as Peter Parker aka Spiderman always says. You are responsible for shutting down your Mipad 2 properly. Yes you heard it right, its not like android that you click the powerbutton to sleep and powerbutton to wake. The powerbutton in Mipad 2 Windows edition is merely a screenoff button only. You will need to hit the Window logo and then click shut down for it to turn off properly.
Now what if you forgot to do that in the middle of the night and the next thing you know your Mipad 2 aint starting up? Here is my workaround after trying for 48 hours I finally got it to work.
Step 1: Charge your mipad 2 for 1 whole day or at least 8 hours using the best charger you have, in my case i used Mi5 Qualcomm Quickcharge 3.0 supported USB adapter.
Step 2: Remove USB C charger on your Mipad 2
Step 3: Hold powerbutton for 10 - 20 Seconds
Step 4: While holding the powerbutton, immediately plug in the USB C adapter to your Mipad 2, you should see the LED indicator in the upper right of your screen blink green once.
Step 5: Release powerbutton
Step 6: Hold powerbutton until you see the MI Logo
I have tried all kind of method and only this one worked. I used a charger analyzer in the process and i saw no electricity going into my Mipad 2, but as soon as i hold 20 seconds and immediately plugged in the charger, it suddenly reads 0.3 Ampere consistently meaning there is electricity flow into the Mipad 2, thats how it worked.
