Redmi Note 4 Comprehensive Flashing Guide

Hello MIUI-ers,
You may notice that all Redmi Note 4 units comes with China Stable Rom, now what if you want to flash to China Dev Rom or flash Global Stable Rom.
Wondering how to flash Redmi Note 4? {:m019:}Let's do it!
Requirement:
- Be sure to Enable USB Debugging
- Before proceeding: Disable Driver Signature Enforcement in Windows 7/8/10 64-Bit
- USB Data cable from your set.
- Battery is charged at least 50%.

Works for both Locked & Unlocked Bootloader
Fastboot Method:
Download the following:
Installation of SP Flash Tool & Drivers:
Download all the Zip files and unzipped accordingly.
The Fastboot Rom may be tricky, this one you need to use winzip to unzip, then use 7-zip to unzip the .tgz file.
The Folder should look like this:
Unzipped, both SP_Flash_Tool_exe_Windows_v5.1620.00.000.zip and nikel_global_images_V8.0.3.0.MBFMIDG_20160805.0000.29_6.0_global.tgz.
Fastboot Flashing - SP Flash Tool:
Go to to SP_Flash_Tool_exe_Windows_v5.1620.00 folder and right-click "flash_tool.exe", then choose "Run as adminsitrator" as shown below:
Once in the SP Flash Tool, click on the "Download Agent" and locate "MTK_AllInOne.bin" from the unzipped SP Flash Tool folder earlier and click Open, as shown below:
Next click on the "Scatter loading" button and locate the "MT6797_Android_scatter" from the unzipped "nikel_global_images_V8.0.3.0.MBFMIDG_20160805.0000.29_6.0_global" folder earlier and click Open, as shown below:
Uncheck EVERYTHING, then Check BOOT and SYSTEM.
Now turn your Redmi Note 4 Off.
Connect the USB to the PC/ Laptop, and the other end (USB C) dont connect to phone first.
Now click the "Download" button.
PRESS and HOLD Volume Down, keep holding it and immediately plug in your USB C to the phone.
You will immediately see the progress bar going Red, Purple momentarily, and Yellow for a few minutes until the flashing process is complete, as shown below:
Release Volume Down button.
**NOTE: If Volume Down alone did not work, use Volume Down + Power Button instead**
You have successfully flashed the current "Global Stable 8.0.3.0" and your phone will then reboot itself accordingly. But if it did not reboot, unplug then press the power button till the Mi LOGO appeared.
After you have booted up, got to Settings --> Additional Settings --> Backup and Reset --> Factory Data Reset --> Reset Phone --> Erase!
This method needed to be done because we only flashed the System Image and the Boot, you need to factory reset to make sure its clean.
Enjoy your newly flashed Redmi Note 4!

Recovery Method: Only for China Stable to China Dev Rom or from Global Stable to Global Dev Rom. Wont work if from China Rom to Global Rom!
Download the latest MIUI ROM file Recovery Rom Redmi Note 4 on your PC/Computer and copy it to your "downloaded_rom" folder on the root folder of your Redmi Note 4, as shown on the image below:
Be sure to put your phone to MTP File Transfer mode first.
Make sure your phone is connect to WiFi, proceed and click the Updater App on your phone.
Click the ... icon on the upper right of the screen.
Click choose update package.
Go to downloaded_rom folder and select the zip file.
And you are all done!
You are done! Congratulations!
