Finally Xiaomi has released their own branding of IP Camera (other than the 360 and the Pan Tilt), the Mijia 1080P IP Camera is non rotateable and has an angle viewing of 130 degrees. This camera is quite similar to the Yi IP Camera that they have been selling for quite sometimes already but problem is that when you buy the China variant, it will only work within China via IP Address detection.
Whats in the Box:

Now whats so special about this camera other than it being a little more expensive than the Yi IP Camera counterpart? well the Yi variant is 720p, this one is 1080p thats for sure, there are lots of software features on this one that the Yi doesnt have. Let me list it down for you:
- Xiaomi Mijia Smart IP Camera comes with 1080P FHD at 20 fps resolution, the camera uses CMOS sensor for high- quality image & Video as well as 130 degrees of wide angle lens and an aperture of f/2.0.
- There are 10 powerful infrared LED light for night recording at a distance up to 10 meters, you can also digitally zoom out up to 8X to see all the details that is pretty much advantageous while other IP camera miss this feature.
- It does come with record on Motion detection, up to 15m distance and it’s very good in detecting motion
- it can connect to either 2.4G / 5G Dual Band WiFi for faster transmission of data.
- Wide Dynamic Range + Backlight Sensor makes the background very clear to view
- With Xiaomi Mijia IP Camera you can keep an eye on your house from anywhere in the World, its pretty to monitor via the Mi Home App (you can view several Mijia 1080p camera all at once on tile mode.
- Parttion Grading Intelligent Detection to reduce false alarms
- Two Way Communication

It looks pretty familiar as it was somehow copied from Yi IP Camera. But overall the finishing touch on this one is better than the Yi Camera.

Lower part sports a non slip grip rubber ring on the base of the camera.

Mi Home App Integration:

The app is quite easy to use and easy to understand, you just need to search using Mi Home App, turn on bluetooth and wifi for it to detect properly, then you need to punch in the wifi password of the router you want it to connect and Voila!

Here are the basic settings you can configure on your camera

You can even minimize the screen and watch your baby while you are working with your phone. How cool is that?

Mi vs Yi

Who looked better?
Verdict:
One of the better IP camera I have used by far, as far as I am concerned, I have already replaced all my Yi IP Cam with this one in my office. Its a worthy upgrade in every division compared to its predecessor. This camera deserves a rating of 9.5/10.
You can now grab it from Xiaomi China webstore for 199 RMB.
