After the success of the MiJia 360 Camera, Xiaomi once again released some new cameras including the DaFang FHD 1080p Smart IP Camera. This camera give us a quantitative leap in terms of functions compared to other Xiaomi Cameras and Yi Home Cameras that I have been able to review so far. In this review, you will be given images as well as video preview of the camera performance.

Whats in the Box:

The box is pretty big as opposed to any Xiaomi IP camera that I have seen so far, inside the box there is the Unit itself, a USB Cable and USB Charging Adaptor included. Now the main highlight of this camera is that it has Intelligent Auxiliary Monitoring, High Speed Gimbal, 360 degreen panoramic monitoring and you can extend another camera to it as well.
The Intelligent Auxiliary Monitoring is the one that highlights this camera, it no only motion detect and record the surrounding, but it detects the object movement and follows it up to 10 meters of distance from the camera itself.
Design:

The Xiaomi DaFang IP Camera for me is pretty much a rectangular shaped IP Camera, there is no nonsense design on this and is pretty similar to the XiaoFang 1080P IP Camera. The material made with ABS plastic and this camera is quite good as it is smooth and easy clean on the outside once it is dirty.

You can use a USB drive to add storage for your recording in this camera which is a cool function to have, It can also be an expansion port to connect another camera within the same distance, but problem is that when it spins, the chord might get tangled up.

Mi Home App
This was the headache part that I have, I was running the latest app 4.3.15 and connected the camera properly, but it just simply cannot enter the camera itself, then I tried downgrading 3 versions lower to 4.3.6 and it work seamlessly. Connectivity was easy as most of the language are already in english format.

Conclusions:
This camera was awesome from tip to toe, now I might use this camera to replace my other Yi Home camera to be able to detect whats going on at home especially in the living room where my pet strolls around. My Mijia 360 camera doesnt have the Auxiliary Motion Detection which follows the object wherever it goes, this one will give me the extra mileage as it can move freely on its own without worrying much. The only problem is that its pretty creepy at night when it suddenly moves especially when unnoticed. Hahaha! Happy Halloween MI Fans!
