After we have handled the ultra portable Mi Wifi Repeater 2, which is pretty much a pocket sized little buddy which you can probably bring anywhere you like to extend the wifi range of the router of your choice. This all new repeater has a farther range compared to the mini version, it now has 2 antennae, 300mbps speed and added range of up to 120 Meters on open space and 80 meters on enclosed area.
Whats in the Box:
Based on my testing side by side with the Wifi Repeater 2, this Wifi Repeater Pro can emit 20% more power as compared to its predecessor, but of course with the bulk that comes with it. It will be a perfect use when it will always be stationary, meaning, you dont keep on moving it from one place to another.
The black color is very elegant and will match any wall colors that you have at home.
Mi Home App:
Connecting to the app is pretty simple, you just need to detect it while connecting to the router. then it will copy the router that it has connected to with a _plus to its wifi name. Example, my router name is Xiaomi, it will become Xiaomi_plus.
If you need a powerful repeater, this one is a good bet at 79 RMB which is already available thur the Xiaomi China Webstore. One downside of this repeater is that you cannot use it with a powerbank unlike the wifi repeater 2.
