From the makers of the awesome 70Mai Intelligent Rearview Mirror Dash Camera comes another successful kickstarter project, this time its the 70Mai Midrive D001 Intelligent Dash Camera. Im quite intrigued with its size, its pretty small but it packed a lot of punch. One thing for sure is that it boots up faster than any other dash camera I have tried. I personally love it to be suction cup mounted on my windshield so that I can move it to another car whenever I feel the need to do so. But this mount is pretty same as the Miijia Dash camera wherein you need to place a transparent film before sticking the adhesive on the camera to the mirror. This way, it prevents it from falling down, the risk of suction cup is that it sometimes gets removed on its own due to different temperature of the mirror which we cannot control.

Windshield mounting:

First cleant the area to place the adhesive, dirt will prevent it from sticking properly so make sure clean it properly. then place the transparent film and lastly, mount the dash camera.







70Mai App:


As far as i have checked, its not compatible with Mi Home App, therefore we have to download the prescribed app using the QR code provided in the manual. Well everything is pretty easy to understand and you have to connect to the wifi of the dash camera first and use the default password of 12345678.



































Basically everything is in English therefore there is no need to worry if you cant speak chinese nor listen to chinese, nor read chinese. Now the only feature that you cannot use is the voice command should you dont know how to speak chinese. The commands are to capture image, turn on wifi, turn on voice record and the reverse of each.

Now if you feel that you dont need the display just let it record or you wanna put a rear recording dash cam, this is a very useful gadget to invest on.
