Just when you dont have the budget to buy the Mi Drone 4K Edition, there is always a mini version to play with. Presenting the Mi Drone Mini, the power of this drone is nowhere near the real deal, but at least this one you can safely play within the perimeter of your own house. One good thing is that its playable for children 14 years old and up.



Xiaomi has integrated pretty well for this mini drone to do as much function as its brother drone can do, it can flip in the air, it can capture video and photos, it can fly as high as 25 Meters and as far as 50 Meters. Probably one this that will be quite disappointing is that it can only be played for 10 minutes, then you need to charge the 980mAh battery for another 60 minutes just to play for another 10 minutes. The air time is quite few, but you can always purchase a separate battery for 99 RMB.





This mini drone did packed a lot of stuffs inside, imagine this little guy having a Quad Core processor on its own, to make sure all your maneuvers are correct to prevent accidental falls. There are also 5 sensors equipped to assist in navigation of the mini drone.



Based on the official website, you can engage in an aerial virtual battle with another Mi Drone Mini user, this can be tested is there are 2 Mi Mini Drones being played together. How fun could that be, I wish my childhood was this awesome.



The body of this drone is not made from just any ordinary plastic, its made of high duarable material to make sure it can at least break a fall during accident to make sure you wont waste your investment. Please make sure not to fly this drone on windy place as it will simply go out of navigation since its very light.




Good navigation app using the MiTu Drone App to navigate, the camera has a resolution of up to 1600 x 1200, video is 720p at 1280 x 720.



You have the option to use the Mi Gamecontroller to navigate the drone as well, just press the gamepad icon on the screen of the app.

MiTu Drone App Integration


Download the App found in the manual via QR code, install it and use your mi account to sign in, then connect to the wifi of the Mi Drone Mini, the password is 123456789. Close mobile data so that there will be no interference. Otherwise it will not work.

This is the name of the Wifi of the drone.


Fully connected, on top are the launch function, you can launch from ground or from palm, on palm you need to throw the drone up in the air. You can select to control from Mi Gamingpad or via Gyro of the phone. Below is the Camera and the Video button, the drone has 4GB of storage capacity for your photos. Setting is on the upper right corner.

For a begginer this is some nice toys for your to play with, you can freely navigate with it and it can even play aerial tricks, even play 2 player virtual games should there be 2 players of the same Mi Drone Mini.
