You would as me whats the difference between the two, well basically Xiaomi embedded a chip to be able to gain accuracy up to +0.1 Celcius and -0.1 Celcius which an ordinary thermometer cannot achieve. This is to accurately report the correct temperature of an ill patient be it a child or adult.
Xiaomi used high grade materials to manufacture this especially the tip of the thermometer which needed precision to be able to achieve the best result. This also uses the button cell battery and well it does not have bluetooth function like other Mijia Smarthome products that you know.
