Dear Mi Pad 3 Users,
We were surprised that the Mi Pad 3 ships with Android Nougat, but first thing that comes to our mind is the Google Play installation.
Let me walk you thru the installation, this was tested for China Stable of the said unit and should work for China Dev Rom as well.
This tutorial we have tested on Mi Pad 3, Mi5.
1. Download the File I have attached here, then unzip using 7-Zip or WinRaR:
GApps For China ROM.rar - Google Drive
2. Connect Mi Pad 3 to PC then paste the unziped folder (Mi5GoogleBackUp folder) under MIUI\backup\AllBackup\
3. Go to Settings\Additional Settings\ Local Backups\
4. Select the Dec 12 2016 File then Click RESTORE.
5. Reboot your Mi Pad 3.
6. Enter your Google Play Username and Password.
7. Try downloading some apps to test if its working.
